What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Compile, analyze, and report on the performance of departmental operating units
- Utilize clinical and coding knowledge to ensure accurate and compliant charge items
- Coordinate projects and audits to improve processes related to revenue cycle
- Assist in forecasting and budgetary compliance
- Manage systems for accounts receivable and financial reporting
- Coordinate communication between insurance companies, providers, and support staff
- Trend and report on departmental performance indicators and goals
- Make recommendations to improve financial systems and perform audits
- Assist in developing departmental goals and objectives
- Provide job-specific training to new and existing employees
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by post-secondary courses in a related field
- Four years of related experience in healthcare, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, billing/collections, and insurance claims
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
