Relationship Manager
Leeds
As a Barclays Relationship Manager, you will sit within the Corporate Bank that supports clients in the UK and around the world. Barclays Corporate Bank services medium enterprises, large UK and global corporations and financial institutions. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 50 clients within the Mid-Corporate remit, proactively identifying their needs and work with business partners to provide and execute solutions direct with the client.

What will you be doing?• Developing practical and appropriate credit solutions / lending structures through understanding customer needs and completing credit applications as appropriate
• Leading and managing the co-ordination, analysis and execution of complex transactions across the Relationship Director population
• Determining and researching target names and assisting the Relationship Directors in client acquisition, key business introducer and business development strategies
• Updating regularly the Head of Mid-Corporate on team business development results to support the market share growth aspirations
• Owning and driving a personal development plan that helps in the succession to a Relationship Director role
• Visiting proactively and having strategic discussions with portfolio owned clients a least 4 times per annum
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts within the client’s businessWhat we’re looking for:
• General banking skills including the ability to discuss strategic financial advice
• Developed business awareness, to include impact of general economic change on a corporate’s business
• Familiarity with Credit Risk
• Product Knowledge
