At Tessitura, the Innovation Group’s mission is to build Tessitura’s product and technology innovation pipeline from identification of need, through ideation, product development, engineering, infrastructure, quality assurance, deployment, and feedback/iteration cycles, ensuring that we deliver continually innovated technology to our members, ecosystem partners, and team members.
The Product Development and Engineering divisions are responsible for creating enterprise systems that cut across all the functions of an arts and cultural organization to enable connections with prospects, donors, members, single-ticket buyers, and subscribers and other constituent groups. Tessitura offers an equally strong solution for ticketing, fundraising, marketing, customer relationship management, data segmentation and web capabilities. This includes business facing applications, consumer facing web applications, Android-based access control systems, and more.
The Release Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing software releases, including coordination of release activities across multiple teams. This position will coordinate with product managers, QA, software engineers and other teams to ensure smooth release planning and execution. Management of risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality is important in this role. The Release Coordinator will ensure proper documentation and communication of release processes, policies, and procedures. This position will work with the Technical Program Manager to manage and coordinate various phases of the product development lifecycle.
We build and support diverse products such as a business facing CRM, ticketing and contribution management solution, a consumer-facing white label e-commerce application, and an Android-based access control application.
Specific Responsibilities - Planning release lifecycle and coordination across multiple products, services and teams.
- Handle coordination of multiple releases and their dependencies.
- Collaborate with other teams, both inside and outside of the Innovation Department to ensure a clear understanding of program and project scope, release notes and known issues.
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, or blocks related to the release plan and work with the team to resolve or mitigate issues that may affect the release scope and timing.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally on project and program releases and schedules.
- Maintain a release calendar for each product to have a centralized view of all releases.
- Measure and monitor progress of releases.
- Works closely with the Technical Program Manager to help maintain all programs and projects in Product Development and Engineering.
Required Skills and Experience: - 3+ years of experience in project management or release management
- Experience in software release management
- Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycles
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple product releases simultaneously
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Skilled at setting and meeting timelines
- Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a remote team environment
Preferred Skills and Experience - Basic understanding of business intelligence tools and data analytics
- Experience coordinating releases with multiple working groups and workstream branches
- Understanding of continuous delivery and continuous integration (CD/CI)
- Experience using Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket
- Ability to work calmly, effectively, and flexibly with a diverse set of personalities
- Understanding of Tessitura Network technology, functionality and services
