What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process billing record requests, subpoenas, and court orders within company policy and guidelines
- Access electronic patient records to fulfill requests for records
- Review HIPAA authorizations and confirm valid requests
- Respond to requests within established timeframes with attention to detail
- Maintain knowledge of applicable statutes, regulations, and standards

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of medical records, medical billing, or coding experience required
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance laws required
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook Suite and internet navigation
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a medical office, medical records department, or hospital setting
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding patient information
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding processes and medical terminology
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment
