      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Process requests for information from patient health records while ensuring compliance with state and federal privacy regulations
      - Review and select information within all medical record formats according to requests from patients or their legal representatives
      - Maintain a computer log of requests and current statuses using release of medical information software
      - Act as a liaison with internal and external customers, answering questions related to government regulations and disclosure policies
      - Prepare encrypted disks to provide to patients or third-party requestors as required

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
      - At least 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
      - Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
      - Proficient computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft programs and electronic health record systems
      - Ability to organize and manage multiple requests efficiently

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with medical records management and understanding of HIPAA regulations
      - Familiarity with legal requests such as subpoenas and court orders
      - Additional certifications related to medical records or health information management
