What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Correct, complete, and process claims for all payer codes while collecting payment
- Daily key punching into the computer to ensure billing accuracy within 24 business hours
- Review and submit all electronic claims, ensuring documentation and coding are complete
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and issues
- Resolve claim denials and work to collect patient balances in a timely manner

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CPC Certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of billing and coding experience (outpatient/medical practice coding experience preferred)
- Training or background in ICD-10 / CPT codes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare billing environment
- Familiarity with community-based organizations and their billing processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
