What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage patient drug therapy in accordance with clinical practice standards
- Assure the appropriateness of provider medication orders to maintain patient care and safety
- Serve as the primary resource for drug information and education
- Provide in-depth patient counseling when required and support training for new employees
- Ensure quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy
- Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)
- North Carolina Pharmacist License (Required or can obtain after hired)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Ambulatory or Inpatient Pharmacy

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Medication Reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of anticoagulation medications
- Experience working with Medicare Advantage
- Diabetes management experience
- Completion of a residency in Ambulatory Care
