What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct thorough reviews of clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data
- Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS codes and modifiers for billing and reimbursement
- Collaborate with internal customers, including hospital staff and physicians
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coding guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the revenue cycle team

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of professional coding experience
- Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (Apprentices will not be considered)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong organizational, computer, written, and oral communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pro-fee and facility coding experience
- Participation in continuing education workshops and webinars for coding compliance
- Strong knowledge of Official Coding Guidelines and AHA Coding Clinic
- Demonstrated time management and critical thinking skills
