- Accurately code inpatient and/or day surgery records using the ICD-10-CM/PCS coding system
- Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations according to regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with team members to meet departmental and accounts receivable goals
- Abstract prescribed data elements from the medical record
- Maintain high standards for customer service and quality in healthcare delivery

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of day surgery or inpatient coding experience
- Required certification: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
- Strong understanding of coding systems and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in Health Information Technology
- Dual certification of CCS and RHIT/RHIA
