What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide free, confidential emotional support and crisis intervention to callers
- Employ active listening techniques to de-escalate mental health concerns
- Follow established procedures and best practices while responding to caller needs
- Complete call reports and documentation accurately at the end of each shift
- Participate in required training sessions to enhance skills and support agency programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 6 months related experience in a social service or contact center environment
- Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule, including nights and weekends
- Reliable laptop/computer with secure internet connection and a private workspace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with callers and team members
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while providing support to callers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human services field
- Familiarity with Gmail and Google Drive
