What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Review and ensure compliance with HIM policies and procedures
- Act as a resource to answer complex questions from coders, providers, and others
- Monitor and provide improvement progress for provider documentation, coding, and system issues
- Execute risk assessments and prioritize areas for improvement
- Perform quality audits and continued monitoring for CDI caregivers
- Serve as a coding resource to coders, clinics staff, and providers

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Associate's Degree in healthcare-related discipline preferred
- 3 years of coding/billing experience in the healthcare industry
- Prior experience performing coding audits or working with providers and caregivers to correct coding and documentation issues
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

- Experience as a coder, consultant, and/or auditor
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and accreditation standards
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems
