What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to inbound Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) and major medical insurance-related phone calls
- Resolve questions and problems submitted by customers and PBM following established guidelines
- Process non-clinical PBM rejections and assist physicians with prior authorization processes
- Verify benefits for Major Medical via online resources or over the phone
- Document contact interactions, including details, complaints, and actions taken
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience providing customer service in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, PBM, or call center settings
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Basic level PC skills, including proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office Suite
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential manner
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in providing customer service related to adherence and complex disease states
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending solutions
- Intermediate level PC skills, including proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office Suite
