What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify insurance information for new patients and determine if referrals or prior authorizations are necessary
- Identify out-of-pocket costs for patients and review in or out-of-network status
- Update patient accounts with insurance information and verify demographics in required systems
- Serve as a liaison between patients, physician offices, and insurance companies regarding financial responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while working independently

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in insurance verification, patient referral, or authorization processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and organization
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with online payer portals such as Availity, Navinet, SPOT
- Experience with practice management systems like eCW (eClinicalWorks)
