      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and accurately code ambulatory surgical procedures for reimbursement
      - Obtain and analyze operative reports, implant invoices, and pathology reports
      - Adhere to ICD-9/ICD-10 coding conventions and official coding guidelines
      - Consult with physicians for clarification and additional documentation prior to code assignment
      - Maintain a coding accuracy average of 90% or above while coding a minimum of 50 cases daily

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school graduate or GED certification
      - Required certification in CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
      - Minimum of 2 years of acute care coding experience in Surgical, Outpatient, Inpatient, SDS, and ER, with strong experience in Inpatient
      - Successful completion of formal education in ICD-9-CM/ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, and disease processes
      - Knowledge of computers and Windows-driven software
