      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and implement an educational pathway for outpatient coders to enhance their skills and knowledge
      - Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance audits, providing feedback and training based on findings
      - Create and update coding procedures, guides, and training materials for staff
      - Coordinate educational sessions based on staff needs and coding updates
      - Act as a liaison for coding inquiries and maintain coding-related policies and procedures

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field preferred
      - Minimum of five (5) years of progressively complex coding and/or auditing experience required
      - Certified coder through AAPC with a Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) designation
      - Strong knowledge of coding guidelines, conventions, and electronic health record systems
      - Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional coding certifications in the field are highly desired
      - Experience with Epic software is preferred
      - Proven ability to mentor and train others in coding practices
      - Experience in presenting educational sessions to large and small groups
      - Advanced knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding applications
