What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan and implement activities related to the procurement of raw materials, goods, and services
- Compile and analyze statistical data to determine the feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives
- Approve and qualify vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids, and make awards, ensuring follow-up through order completion
- Negotiate with suppliers to determine factors affecting prices while ensuring quality and reliability
- Review proposals, negotiate prices, and maintain necessary records, including preparing requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement or related field without a degree
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Experience in FAR/DFAR/DOD/Aerospace environments or extensive commercial experience
- Ability to work under moderate supervision and set objectives for the job area

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ERP Systems such as SAP and/or Costpoint
- An Associate's Degree or 2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with negotiation tactics and supplier management
- Previous experience in analyzing trends within procurement
- Knowledge of anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations
