What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the Department of Defense on a variety of projects, including rapid-development prototypes and Class A satellites
- Leverage software tools for rigorous modeling and simulation of remote sensing systems
- Assist in the development of new remote sensing concepts and technical performance requirements
- Collaborate with senior staff and department management to solve technical problems
- Interface frequently with program office and government personnel
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related discipline such as optics, physics, or electrical engineering
- Five or more years of experience in electro-optical system modeling and simulation
- Experience with physics-based modeling and data processing applications
- Proficiency in a common processing language (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++) for remote sensing solutions
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI SSBI security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, or related STEM discipline
- Eight years of experience in electro-optical system modeling and simulation
- Demonstrated team leadership experience and mentoring of junior staff
- Experience in phase retrieval techniques for optical system analysis
- Active Top Secret SCI SSBI security clearance
