      Home Forward is seeking three (3) Rent Assistance Specialists for our Regional Long Term Rent Assistance (RLRA) program. The Rent Assistance Specialist is responsible for coordinating and operating rent assistance programs for eligible individuals and families who are engaged in said program.

      The Rent Assistance Specialist in this role supports households who are connected to this supportive housing program, and the role involves collaborating with the service providers and agencies towards the mutual goal of supporting households who have experienced long-term homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness. This role involves coordinating and communicating with service providers, assessing client eligibility: intake, eligibility screening, conducting interim and annual eligibility reviews; coordinating housing inspections and contracting with housing providers; providing information and guidance to applicants, participants and landlords regarding program policies, rules, and procedures; and performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

      In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.

      This is a regular, full time position. Compensation starts at $32.51 per hour; Home Forward provides wonderful and competitive benefits, including (please see the benefits tab for full details):

      Three (3) years of increasingly responsible social work or social services experience with an emphasis on direct client work with individuals/families, case coordination, and program development. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, social services, or a related field preferred. A related degree may substitute for partial work experience requirement.
