      The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for the position of Manager 2, Reporting and Analytics. This position functions as a member of the Research – Instrumental Data leadership team with technical, supervisory, and organizational leadership responsibilities. The GRC engages in applied health services and population health research in a project-based team setting. GRC’s Instrumental Data Section, a subdivision of GRC’s Research Section, currently consists of eight researchers who specialize in health quality measure construction and production, health-related administrative data analytics, and linkage methodology.

      The successful candidate will: (1) Contribute to project work as a Principal Investigator, technical expert, and/or team or task lead; (2) mentor and supervise multiple staff members; (3) coordinate Instrumental Data section activities such as hiring, project staffing, and developing operational procedures; (4) contribute to development of new projects or initiatives; (5) assist in leadership activities across GRC’s organization; and (6) communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to define and achieve project goals.

      Minimum Education Required:

      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

      Required Qualifications:

      A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a related field of study with evidence of increasing responsibility in at least two of the following areas: health quality measure design and execution, data linkage, design and maintenance of large relational databases, and statistical analysis of administrative data. Examples of relevant domain experience for a successful candidate include population health, substance use disorder, maternal and infant health, Medicaid claims analysis, electronic health records, and quality improvement methods for healthcare. Experience leading teams performing advanced analytics with SAS or SQL is required. Substantial experience working with external clients and other stakeholders is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. The selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

      Additional Desired Qualifications:

      Experience designing and producing health quality measures is desired. Experience with R and Git is desired. Experience with probabilistic data linkage of administrative datasets is desired. Experience working with health system clients such as health-related state agencies (i.e., the Ohio Department of Medicaid or the Ohio Department of Health) or hospitals is desired. Experience in applied health services or population health research is desired.
