What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research and data analysis to assess maternal and child health trends and risk factors
- Manage and maintain the WIC Client Information Management System and the WIC Electronic Benefit Transfer system
- Prepare data summaries and presentations for stakeholders using plain language
- Present research findings to healthcare providers, administrators, and the public
- Apply quality improvement tools and participate in emergency response training as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Six (6) years of research and analysis experience in epidemiology, or a bachelor's degree in public health, mathematics, or statistics plus three (3) years of experience, or a master's degree in the same fields plus one (1) year of experience
- Proficiency in using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R) to manage and analyze large datasets
- Experience in identifying and resolving data inconsistencies to ensure accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to analyze healthcare datasets and present findings to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with WIC and/or SNAP-Ed data
- Knowledge and expertise in the manipulation and statistical analysis of public health datasets for evaluating health outcomes
