      Summary of Job Duties:

      The Research Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and senior research staff of the clinical trials program. The Research Assistant will assist with subject enrollment, taking vitals, interacting with research subjects and their caregivers. Other responsibilities include overseeing the screening and recruitment and assist with the selection of all research subjects, performing experiments and collecting samples, tests and reporting information collected. The Research Assistant will also provide assistance to each investigator to ensure all procedures are performed in strict accordance with study protocol guidelines.


      Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s degree in science or related field plus four (4) years of research experience required.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      Advanced Cardiac Life Support and CPR certification.


      Additional Information:

      Responsibilities:

      • Work closely with investigators to ensure all procedures are performed in accordance with hospital regulations, standards of nursing practice, good clinical practice, and study protocol guidelines, and assist investigators with the day-to-day conduct of research/clinical studies.

      • Assist with subject enrollment, taking vitals, and interacting with research subjects and their caregivers.

      • Provide technical assistance between research investigators and study subjects.

      • Assist with ordering supplies and equipment for the conduct of studies, development of protocol documents, source document templates, case report forms, protocol monitoring, and auditing visits, subject education, and study closure.

      • Assist with regulatory management responsibilities (e.g., submission of protocol, amendments, adverse events and continuing reviews to oversight bodies, maintenance of regulatory binder, etc).

      • Perform other duties as assigned.
