      Hours: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM EDT

      Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

      This Research Assistant (RA) will support a study of young adult bystander behavior in drinking contexts. This work is focused on understanding how bystanders respond to risk of sexual violence in these situations. RA activities involve participant recruitment and communication; participant tracking and retention, reviewing data quality and managing datafiles, managing participant payments, documenting project procedures, programming screening surveys and assessment batteries, and supporting all investigator research needs.

      The RA will conduct virtual sessions with research participants and community advisory group members. The RA is expected to generate and maintain project documentation, conduct library research as needed, assemble requested materials for IRB modifications and data reporting, assist with manuscript and presentation preparation, and progress reports. Other activities will include collection, organization, scoring, and management of data and helping with data analysis.

      Major Responsibilities include:
      • Participant recruitment, scheduling and conducting study sessions
      • Participant tracking and monitoring completion and integrity of data
      • Program surveys and document assessment batteries and study records
      • Assist with preparing reports and dissemination materials
      • Serve as fund custodian for disbursement of participant payments

      Job Qualifications and Competencies:

      Education & Experience
      • Required: BA or BS in psychology or related field with 2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
      • Coursework in research design and experience with human subject's research preferred.
      • Experience in programming online surveys (e.g., Qualtrics software, MetricWire software) preferred.
      • Experience managing databases preferred.
      • Coursework in addiction, substance abuse and/or psychopharmacology preferred.
      • Experience with management of ecological momentary assessment data preferred.
      • Experience with statistical software preferred.
      • Flexibility in the work schedule is preferable, including possible evening hours to accommodate participant scheduling.
      • Experience with or interest in social media/marketing preferred.
