      Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), and under the direction of the Research Manager, the Research Assistant contributes to the research study by assisting with recruitment, administration of tests and interviews, collection of biological samples, data entry, study administration, and by providing administrative support for clinical studies investigating depression in Nova Scotia Health’s Depression Clinical Research Program (DCRP). The DCRP aims to match each person with depression to the treatment that will give them the best chances of recovery.       About You

      We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

      • Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field
      • Bachelor or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline (Psychology, Science) preferred
      • Previous experience in a health care/research setting is an asset
      • Experience with mental illness care is an asset
      • Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for mental and behavioral disorders is an asset
      • Experience with cognitive testing is an asset
      • Effective communication, problem solving and decision making skills
      • Well developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills
      • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment
      • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a professional manner
      • Competencies in multiple languages an asset, French preferred

      Hours of Work

      75 hours biweekly; Monday to Friday


      1 year, Full Time Long Assignment
      Beginning November 30, 2023

      Compensation and Benefits

      $21.58 - $26.97 hourly
      $42,084.70 - $52,605.83
