      The Research Associate II, Affinity Reagent Development will be responsible for the determination of the epitopes recognized by the Nautilus’ affinity reagents. The role will require the candidate to routinely test multiple sets of reagents with high-throughput molecular biology techniques coupled with Next-Generation Sequencing. As the candidate gains understanding of pipeline, they will help in optimization and modification of processes to increase the efficiency and precision of methods. This role provides the opportunity to work in a cross functional collaborative team, gain extensive experience in various laboratory skills and become an essential part of the company aimed to revolutionize proteomics.

      Role and Responsibilities

      • Execute experiments in collaboration with senior researchers
      • Collaborate with multiple teams performing affinity reagent discovery and characterization
      • Routinely perform and troubleshoot molecular biology techniques including Phage Display and NGS
      • Help with development of high-throughput screening processes
      • Assist in other assays as needed
      • Deliver high quality results in a timely manner
      • Routinely present results within department
      • Contribute to preparation of Standard Operating Procedures and other documents

      Qualifications and Education Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science Field
      • 1 year of experience with molecular biology techniques
      • Previous experience with Phage Display and/or Next-Generation Sequencing is preferred
      • Experience with ELISA and molecular cloning is a plus

      $76,000 - $93,000 a year
      The hiring pay range for this position is based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role; title may be assessed one level lower or higher, accordingly. Other components of total compensation include a competitive options grant at the time of hire (with potential for additional grants).
