      Job Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. *Provides user support to all clinical trials research and administrative staff of the Hawaii Cancer Consortium.
      2. *Assist OnCore/Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) Product Coordinator in providing OnCore user-oriented training and documentation.
      3. *Assists Oncore/CTMS Product Coordinator with problem solving (including triage problem solving to handle basic access issues as appropriate), developing user consensus, measuring satisfaction, and working to improve user satisfaction.
      4. *Prioritizes and specifies product enhancements and requirements to Forte Research personnel.
      5. *Serves as the central point of contact for all Consortium members in the absence of the OnCore/CTMS Product Coordinator.
      6. *Drafts and updates protocol calendars and integrates clinical visit data with fiscal billing processes.
      7. *Maintains congruence between local CTMS and National Cancer Institute (NCI) Databases.
      8. *Assists with submitting Clinical Trials Reporting Program (CTRP) Data Table 4 via comparison tools.
      9. *Resolves and submits queries to CTRP representatives.
      10. *Prepares initial case report forms in Forte Electronic Data Capture (EDC) based upon protocol documents for Investigator-initiated trials.
      11. Performs other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in a health or related field and one (1) year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for Clinical Research/Healthcare, Database Administration, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
      2. Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of CTMS, Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Internet functioning, PCs, and Microsoft Office Suites and managing projects in a capacity as demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
      3. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with Clinical Research/Healthcare and CTMS database administration.
      4. Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of CTMS and Oncore Research Databases.
      5. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
      6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
      7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply work processing software.

      Supplemental Minimum Qualifications:

      1. General Medicine/Oncology and research knowledge.
      2. Experience with SQL coding and running Jasper reports.
      Desirable Qualifications:

      1. Familiar with clinical research protocol at UH Cancer Center.
