What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain a comprehensive database of research misconduct cases, tracking progress and outcomes
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting systems and case management tools
- Audit journals for compliance with peer review and research integrity best practices
- Lead cross-functional projects to develop infrastructure and workflows supporting research integrity
- Serve as a primary contact for ethics-related inquiries, providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience in academic journal publishing required, preferably within the STM disciplines
- Familiarity with publication ethics required
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs related to research integrity
- Understanding of the scholarly publication process and current trends in research integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in advising editorial colleagues on policies and processes related to research integrity
