What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee, mentor, and train a team of data analysts
- Develop and maintain training tools and process documentation for the department and projects
- Construct and manipulate large electronic claims datasets and develop study designs based on available data
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze needs and requirements
- Present data or analytic findings in various formats, including reports and presentations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience required
- Experience in a health services research environment
- Familiarity with large healthcare datasets, including electronic health records and Medicare claims
- Staff management experience
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS and knowledge of data transfer methods
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's Degree from an accredited program in statistics, informatics, or a related field
- Experience with coding procedures used in research and the healthcare environment
- Prior experience in developing analytic solutions based on business partners' needs
