What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee, mentor, and train a team of data analysts
- Construct and manipulate large electronic claims datasets and develop analytic solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze needs and requirements
- Present data or analytic findings in various formats, including reports and visualizations
- Perform data analyst functions that generate knowledge via data mining and visualization
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience required
- Experience in a health services research environment
- Staff management experience
- Knowledge of statistical principles and analysis considerations in research planning
- Proficiency in programming languages, SAS, and electronic health record standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's Degree in a research-related field, statistics, informatics, or a related field of study
- Experience with large healthcare datasets, including electronic health records and Medicare claims
- Familiarity with domain modeling and relational database design
