What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process ET data in a timely manner over large regions
- Validate ET estimates using in-situ and remote sensing data sources
- Relate ET data to estimates of groundwater withdrawals
- Prepare and submit high-impact scientific publications
- Supervise and train research associates while coordinating with collaborators

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. degree in Soil Physics or a related field by the date of hire
- Demonstrated competency in programming and coding, with the ability to handle large datasets
- Experience publishing peer-reviewed scientific papers in the field of remotely sensed ET
- Background in processing ET datasets from satellite data or extensive experience with ET products
- Strong understanding of computational languages such as Python and MATLAB

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience developing ET models
- Prior experience with estimating groundwater use
- Experience working in collaborative research settings
- Familiarity with integrating diverse data sources in research
