      ­­­Your Role

      As a member of the Gensler Research Institute, you will work closely with our Global Research Leads and other Institute team members to conduct quantitative and qualitative research across six areas of practice focus – workplace, cities, health, lifestyle, equity, and resilience. You will be a key contributor to major global research initiatives to explore how the built environment impacts business performance and the human experience at multiple scales. Qualified candidates should be collaborative, flexible, self-motivated, quick learners, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

      What You Will Do

      • Play a primary role in the entire research project cycle, including strategy development, question/instrument design, survey programming, and instrument testing

      • Manage deployment of survey fielding working with panel provider partners

      • Analyze survey results using both descriptive and inferential analytics

      • Prepare toplines, cross-tabulations, segmentations, dashboards, and other data summaries

      • Manage deployment of qualitative field work, in collaboration with third party respondent provider

      • Oversee qualitative data collection, analysis and reporting

      • Conduct analysis of self-report and observational data, including coding, content analysis, multivariate analysis, and modeling

      • Collaborate with Global Research Leads, Practitioners and our Institute Publications team to synthesize and translate findings for publication in research reports and briefings

      • Respond to findings requests from Gensler Executive Leadership, Global Research Leads and Practitioners

      • Work with Marketing and Public Relations teams to incorporate findings into marketing collateral and media briefings

      • Support other research efforts led by the Research Institute as required

      Your Qualifications

      • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field. Master’s or PhD in Applied Research (Sociology or Environmental Psychology) preferred

      • 3+ years of professional research experience, in design field preferred

      • Well versed in quantitative and qualitative research design, data collection and management

      • Strong data analysis abilities, both descriptive and inferential. Familiarity with mixed-methods a plus

      • Fluency in statistical packages (e.g., R, SPSS, SQL etc.) a plus

      • Experience with data exploration & visualization tools, preferably Tableau or PoweBI

      • Knowledge of GIS and spatial analytics a plus

      • Excellent interpretive and critical thinking skills with the ability to tell a story from the data

      • Ability to work with global colleagues who come from a variety of different disciplines and backgrounds

      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

      • Must be collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented with a start-up mentality

      *The compensation range in New York is between $75-85k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience**
