What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support for clinical studies by consenting patients, drawing blood samples, and collecting data
- Maintain regulatory documents for the Nebraska Cardiovascular Biobank and other studies
- Isolate DNA and assist with the culture of human cells for future research
- Assist with writing manuscripts and clinical protocols
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and processing standards

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a research lab setting, including clinical experience and patient interaction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work weekends or nights when needed for experiments
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with lab personnel, students, and investigators

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Medical or healthcare background with emphasis on immunological and biochemical techniques
- General phlebotomy experience or willingness to be certified in phlebotomy
- Familiarity with EPIC and ability to learn new software programs
