JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for taking reservations and accurately inputting into the computer system.Answer inquiries of room rates, outlets and room locations.Interact with Group Rooms Coordinator on bookings.Activate "manual system" in the event of system downtime.Keep up to date with knowledge of phone system.Handle all guests' special requests in a professional manner.Post advance deposits and keep accurate records of deposits.Complete all necessary projects by the assigned times. Complete documents as directed and to specifications.Perform various other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of High School educationSix (6) months prior reservations or front office experience required in a full-service hotel or relatedPrior experience with Opera PMS is desired.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge and ability to use the Microsoft OfficeStrong working knowledge of Opera PMSAbility to maintain consistency, diplomacy and tact in difficult or challenging situationsAbility to follow detailed record-keeping procedures that involve intense administration and attention to detailAbility to make independent decisionsAbility to make quick and efficient decisions to benefit the team and guestAbility to use a moderately complex computer system and troubleshoot software problems*The hiring process may consist of a phone interview, manager(s) interview, drug screen, background check, reference checks, and potential employment assessment.
