      Response Officer - Grade B3- Job Description

      Response Officer – Permanent

      35.25 Hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift rota. The role attracts a shift allowance pro rata.

      Day and night position . Basic salary of £22,369 - £24,054 per annum with potential to earn approx. £25,000 due to enhancements (pro rata)

      We are looking for a new team member to join our team of Response Officers. The successful applicant will work as part of the wider Leedswatch team and will play a key part in ensuring a responsive, professional service is provided to customers and partners at all times to support crime reduction, in line with the Safer Leeds Plan.

      As a Response Officer you will:

      • Respond to and witness noise complaints and address these by asking perpetrators to take steps to stop/reduce noise levels
      • Undertake routine patrol and security checks on various premises
      • Attend alarm activations

      What you will bring to the role

      • Ability to keep accurate records and to understand regulations, policy, and legislation
      • Willingness to attend court and give evidence, as required
      • Ability to work on own initiative, accept responsibility and make decisions within agreed criteria.
      • Ability to deal with conflicting or difficult situations should they arise
      • You will have excellent communication skills and be a team player. You will be motivated and a critical thinker with the ability to understand the needs of your customers.
      • A Full UK Drivers Licence is essential for this role.
      • Experience in this field or previous SIA Security training would be advantageous but not essential.
