      Retail Pharmacist - Part-time

      Position Highlights:

      The Durham Outpatient Center (DOC) Pharmacy is located on the main Nebraska Medicine campus. Part-time Retail Pharmacists will enjoy a combination of working at our retail locations (Durham Outpatient Pharmacy, Lauritzen Outpatient Pharmacy, Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy and Village Pointe Pharmacy). This position will self-schedule with the expectation to fulfill night (one night every other week) and weekend variances (at least every 6th weekend) at the DOC Pharmacy.

      Shift details:

      • 1st shift – Part-time

      Retail Pharmacist - Part-time
      Working with the healthcare team, prepare, dispense, and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining dispensing and maintenance of records. Provide direction and assist with organization of daily activities.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.

      • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.

      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required.

      • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients required.

      • Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment required.


      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

      • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.

      • Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications preferred.

      • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
