What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues from patients, family members, and insurance companies
- Analyze and manage A/R reports, including follow-ups on claims and correspondence
- File claims to various insurance companies and refile claims as necessary
- Update patient demographic information and maintain accurate financial records
- Communicate professionally with payors, patients, and internal teams

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a medical practice, customer service, or revenue cycle department
- Knowledge of medical insurance, managed care plans, and coding systems (CPT, ICD9, ICD10)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret Explanations of Benefits from various insurance companies

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) for designated trainer positions or those involved in direct coding
- Experience with financial hardship assessments and payment arrangements
- Familiarity with FDCPA and Bankruptcy regulations
