What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and submit claims to payors and perform account follow-up activities
- Update patient account information and process credits and payments
- Serve as a subject matter expert in revenue cycle management, providing technical guidance to others
- Analyze and resolve complex billing and reimbursement issues with minimal assistance
- Maintain relationships with clinical departments and external clients to ensure timely billing

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 4 years of professional and/or hospital revenue cycle billing experience required
- College-level courses in Finance, Business, or Health Insurance preferred
- Experience in multiple specialties including Plastic & Reconstruction, General Surgery, Urology, Infectious Disease, Hematology - Oncology, and ENT preferred
- Expert knowledge of regulatory requirements and payor contracts governing billing and collections

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional experience in professional billing, particularly in specialized medical fields
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding standards
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving in billing and reimbursement issues
- Previous experience in a technical resource or lead role within a revenue cycle team
- Ability to make recommendations for operational process improvements
