      Job Description and Requirements

      Quality Assurance Specialist provide an exceptional service experience to branches and internal departments through multiple communication channels. Analyze, quality assure and validate personal, specialized and business member relationships with appropriate documentation in accordance with policies, procedures, regulatory laws with supervision. Conduct all duties in a manner intended to enhance the brand and contribute to the safeguarding and growth of the Credit Union.

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

      • Safeguard member and credit union interests, through the practice of advance fraud and risk mitigation.

      • Monitor specified reporting in accordance to Audit and Compliance controls.

      • Maintain quality control and compliance of all account establishments and supporting documents.

      • Conduct personal, specialized, and business account risk reviews to include validation, file maintenance, branch account review, and Verafin.

      • Collaborate with departments and branches to collect and update information related to member due diligence.

      • Perform and document research, verification, analysis, and validation of issues related to regulatory compliance across the enterprise.

      • Disseminate information, answer questions, and be a subject matter resource for the credit union on all account regulatory compliance-related issues.

      • Manage assigned tasks by applying adequate time management skills in response to rapidly changing business needs.

      • Exercise judgment and critical thinking including making informed decisions through independent verification.

      • Implementing process improvement ideas to increase mitigation throughout the credit union.

      • Provide timely correspondence within department e-mail and chat.

      • Meet or exceed department goals and objectives through key performance indicators and core values.

      • Create a seamless employee interaction by orchestrating multiple software applications such as Onbase, DNA, DNA Publisher, FIS, Workday, Calabrio, Rightfax, Verafin, Secretary of State, County websites, and Kofax.

      • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of current RBFCU Employee Handbook, applicable policy and procedure and topical understanding for all credit union areas.

      • Act as a resource for educating, advising, and answering any questions branch and department staff may have on BSA and Member Identification Policy (MIP) issues.

      • Maintain a proficient knowledge of regulations and laws pertaining to the credit union and internal policies and procedures.

      Requirements:

      • High School diploma or GED

      • Minimum one year of financial institution experience and/or customer service experience

      • Attendance and promptness are pertinent; must be able to work a flexible Monday through Saturday schedule

      • Must have good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively with a close attention to detail

      • Accept ownership and adapt to needs of department

      • Self-initiate and apply logic to problem solve with few concrete variables

      • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form

      • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

      • General knowledge of Microsoft applications

      Preferred:

      • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
