Weekends. 9:00a-9:30p. (Sat, sun and Mon) This is primarily Manatee-Sarasota County area hospitals. Other location of services may include; ALF, LTC, and homes.

The admissions nurse is often a patient’s first contact with Tidewell Hospice. The admissions nurse introduces the hospice philosophy reflected in our mission to help people live well by providing care, comfort and compassion. A warm heart and a caring touch make all the difference while assessing patients for hospice eligibility and letting the patient and loved ones know what they can expect at the end of life.

The successful applicant will coordinate patient admissions in patient homes, long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted-living facilities and hospice houses.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be a graduate of an approved nursing program and own a current Florida RN license.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in an acute-care hospital environment providing direct patient care; previous experience as a hospice RN preferred.
