About the Position
Members of our Sign Shop Crew play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and safety of our roadways. In this dynamic position, you will engage in a wide array of responsibilities centered around the maintenance and repair of signs and pavement markings. Your tasks will encompass, but not be confined to, activities such as pavement marking, meticulous sign maintenance, precise installation, and thorough sign cleaning.
What sets this classification apart from others within the series is its unique inclusion of road striping and sign manufacturing. As a member of this specialized team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of new signage and the precision application of road striping, making our roadways safer and more efficient for all who use them. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the overall quality and safety of our transportation infrastructure.
About the Division
The Road Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the County transportation system including some state highways and city streets under contract with Lane County. Although most of the equipment and employees in Road Maintenance are based at the Delta Complex, satellite shops are located near Cottage Grove, Dexter, Veneta, and Florence. A crew and equipment are assigned to each Road Maintenance Zone. The Bridge Projects, Vegetation, and Sign Shop Crews are headquartered at Delta and work throughout the County.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 5:00pm. Shifts change per operational needs.

An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's license at time of hire..
