What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review requestor information to determine records to be released in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Answer phone calls and respond to walk-in customers regarding ROI issues
- Process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and manage related documentation
- Log and scan medical record requests into the ROI On-Line database
- Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year of experience entering data into computer systems
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to respond effectively to customer inquiries
- Proven track record of dependability and ability to work independently
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior work experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or Health Information Management (HIM) Department
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
