What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review requestor information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines to determine records for release
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding ROI issues
- Process walk-in requests for medical records and log information into the ROI On-Line database
- Scan medical records and log requests into the ROI On-Line database
- Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year of experience entering data into computer systems
- Strong verbal communication skills with a proven ability to respond to customer inquiries
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proven track record of dependability and ability to work independently
- Experience in Release of Information in a physician’s office or HIM Department is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
