What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Answer phone calls concerning various Release of Information (ROI) issues
- Respond to walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into the ROI On-Line database
- Process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and fax information as needed
- Scan medical records into the ROI On-Line database and log requests accordingly

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year of experience entering data into computer systems
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to customer inquiries
- Proven track record of dependability and ability to work independently
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior work experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or Health Information Management (HIM) Department
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
