Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Rotor Balance Technician

Business Unit: Sulzer Turbo Services, Houston, Inc.

Department: Big Bay

Reports t o: Big Bay Rotor Shop Supervisor

Shift:

Work hours are subject to change & will be determined by workload and shift coverage needs.

Typically, Day Shift will start at 5:00AM or 7am and end at 3:30PM; Typically, Night Shift will start at 3:30PM and will end at 12am or 2am.

Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of ser vices and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialize in the re p air, o verhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as s team and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, P etrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and P o wer Generati on markets.

Responsibilities:

• Possess professional tools to adequately perform daily assignments.
• Be proficient with the required hand tools & measuring devices.
• Ability to use and operate the overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts.
• Read/interpret indicators accurately within .0001”.
• Balance and blade all associated rotating equipment.
• Read and understand the required technical information for the job.
• Inspect, Disassemble and Reassemble all rotating elements for Gas turbines.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will p ossess t he foll owing:

• Rotating equipment experience is preferred.
• Balance experience is preferred but not required.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Mechanical aptitude, reliability, integrity, teamwork & strong work ethic.
