What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Utilize the Transportation Information Management System (TIMS) to develop non-special education transportation bus stops, runs, and routes
- Use a GPS-based Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system to ensure successful transportation operations and conduct audits for efficiency
- Collaborate with District Field Operation Administrators for optimal routing system implementation
- Review and process non-special education transportation parent routing and stop appeals
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports to keep transportation data current
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of North Carolina requirements
- Post-secondary coursework in computer program courses
- Four years of technical computer system and data entry experience
- School transportation experience or equivalent experience in logistics
- Extensive knowledge of WCPSS policies and procedures relating to general pupil transportation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with TIMS and AVL systems
- Experience in designing and implementing large-scale school bus routes and schedules
- Logistics experience in vehicle fleet routing and scheduling
