      Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our kind, supportive and cohesive PCN in Stockport.

As this post will be employed through the Network Contract DES, you will need to be within 2 years of GP qualification and not have been substantively employed as a GP previously.

This role will operate on 15 minute appointments.

These roles may work across all practices in our network, which offers a great opportunity in this stage of your career to gain a valuable, unique opportunity of experiencing life at different practices. You will provide high-quality GP-related activities and play a huge part in the quality of care provided and our patient satisfaction. We are interested to hear from all candidates though, part and full time and practice bases will be allocated accordingly.

The role may also include conducting a care home ward round, regular home visits, administration and regular patient reviews to ensure comprehensive and continuous care for patients.

      Main duties of the job

You will be working as an autonomous practitioner in each practice, where you will be responsible for the provision of medical services to the patients of Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme PCN.

You will have a dedicated support GP or GPs within each practice who will support you and ease you into your new role with them.

In your role as a salaried GP you will undisputedly adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the management of the health of our population whilst contributing to wider multi disciplinary care.

We are looking for a GP who truly cares about their patients, is keen to develop, settle and is passionate about improving patient outcomes and reducing the gap in health inequalities.

As part of this role, the GP will be required to conduct regular visits to local care homes, providing medical assessments, ongoing reviews, and treatment plans for residents. This includes working collaboratively with care home staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of care and well-being for patients in these settings.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
