      We are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team at Thomas Scientific. As a Sales Associate, you will be the main point of contact for the Yale University research community and responsible for ongoing account manager and sales growth. Laboratory selling requires strong relationships so it is required that the candidate live near the University so they can be on campus at least 4 days a week.

      Responsibilities:
      • Communicate daily with customers primarily via face-to-face in order to solicit orders, win accounts, and grow business; phone and email will also be required modes of communication.
      • Identify customers' goals / problems and provide solutions offered by company.
      • Manage customer accounts and orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
      • Collaborate with our product specialists and manufacturer representatives to provide technical support and information to customers.
      • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities and emerging trends.
      • Coordinate marketing and sales campaigns and promotional materials.
      • Use ERP system consistently for data entry of customer and sales data.
      • Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives as assigned by supervisor.

      Requirements:
      • Entry-level, with some sales experience helpful.
      • Strong interest in the scientific research and laboratory supply industry is required.
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
      • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

      Compensation:

      This position is a full-time, exempt role with a competitive salary and quarterly bonus program tied to sales performance.
