What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, distributors, and buyers
- Develop and implement long-term sales and business development strategies for specialty chemicals
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop new products to meet client needs
- Conduct market research to assess trends, competitors, and new sales opportunities
- Produce accurate forecasts and maintain a detailed opportunity pipeline
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5-10 years of account management experience within the petrochemical industry
- Strong technical knowledge of specialty chemicals and white oils
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related technical field
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective negotiation and relationship building
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- MBA is preferred
- Experience in technical sales of specialty chemicals and/or white oils
- Familiarity with supply and distribution and refining procedures
- Proven crisis management skills in handling product-related issues
- Ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations
