- Quality and sell group and individual Medicare products.
- Manage an effective sales strategy.
- Determine the best channel choice to obtain the enrollment.
- Ensure accurate enrollment processes by guiding them through filling out application, helping them navigate the Kaiser Permanente website or completing a Telephonic Enrollment.
- Use consultative transactional sales (CTS) skills to ask a series of questions to understand current members circumstances to help them make an informed choice of medical plan.
- Interpret Medicare guidelines to members specifics and situations.
- Balance an effecitve sales strategy while balancing productivity metrics during alloted outreach times to contact members.
- Use active listening skills to determine member unique needs and makes recommendations on Medicare products and ensures the customer understands the qualifications, enrollment guidelines and impacts of their decision.
- Ensure adherence to the CMS guidelines and internal policies to effectively communicate with customers. tion.
- Maintain accuracy of prospect database.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners on strategies for targeted prospects and final sales efforts.
- Capable of interpreting and utilizing all regional systems to communicate information accurately to members their Medicare Health Plan options.
- Minimum two (2) years of successful telesales, telemarketing, or customer service in a call center setting.
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Driver's License (California)
- Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers and vendors.
- Proficiency in effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective computer and application knowledge
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Medicare guidelines, including Medicare primary and secondary payor.
- Current knowledge of CMS regulations related to marketing, benefits, enrollment and other guidelines as governed by regulatory agencies.
- Have the ability to interpret how Medicare guidelines applies to members specifics and situations.
- Must meet all state and federal licensure, as applicable, as dictated by regional requirements.
- Continuing education as required by specific-state Department of Insurance Office & Field.
- Field based activity and travel required, and frequency determined by the manager and communicated to the recruiter at the time the position is posted.
- Must be able to work in a Labor Management environment.
- Reliable, insured transportation
- One (1) year of healthcare experience working within an office setting.
- One (1) year experience working with healthcare and/or Medicare claims
- Previous experience working with regulations related to marketing, benefits, enrollment and other guidelines as governed by regulatory agencies.
- Previous experience selling Medicare products.
- Successful completion of AHIP Sponsored Medicare Marketing Training and KP Individual Medicare.
- Bilingual preferred.
- State insurance license preferred.
- Product and Benefit training and/or other CMS required courses.
- All applicable state license(s) required within 90 days of hire, as dictated by regional requirements.
- Bachelors in marketing, finance, business administration.
Job Summary:Responsible for achieving National Medicare Sales goals by qualifying and selling group and individual Medicare products for current Kaiser Permanente members who have not yet signed up for Medicare. Developing and managing an effective strategy for balancing productivity and a sales strategy during designated outreach times alloted to contact members. Acts as a Medicare advisor to customer by using consultative transactional sales (CTS) skills to determine needs and identify the right health plan solutions. Fosters a culture of accountability and team work by utilizing the system(s) in a manner instructed to do so, documenting and capturing activities accurately to ensure the integrity of the process. Ensures adherence to CMS guidelines and internal policies.
