Job Title: Parts Cleaner/ Sandblaster

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Parts Cleaner who will be responsible for various tasks such as steaming, sandblasting, and some painting. This role is physically demanding and involves working in the dirtiest part of the shop. The successful candidate will work in the disassembly shop, taking apart pumps, and will be cross-trained into the assembly department for career advancement. Respirator fit testing will be conducted on-site.

Responsibilities

• Steaming, sandblasting, and painting parts.
• Working in the disassembly shop to take apart pumps.
• Cross-training into the assembly department.
• Performing physically demanding tasks in a dirty environment.
• General cleaning, facilities maintenance, and custodial duties.

Essential Skills

• Experience in industrial cleaning and parts cleaning.
• Proficiency in sandblasting and grinding.
• General labor and janitorial experience.
• Physical labor capability and cleaning skills.
• Reliable and consistent transportation.
• Ability to understand, follow, and complete tasks as instructed by the Manager or Lead.

Work Environment

You will be working in climate-controlled areas of an industrial machine shop environment. The position is available on the 1st shift from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00/hr.
