What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Speak with consumers over the phone experiencing emotional distress or mental health issues
- Build rapport and client engagement
- Assess risk and manage documentation during calls
- Provide available resources and information
- Identify safe coping strategies and develop safety plans
- Provide emergency intervention when necessary
- Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate degree in a behavioral health field (MSW, PsyD, or PhD) or a master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) with a clinical practice emphasis from an accredited program
- Licensed as a limited or fully licensed social worker or counselor according to state licensing board requirements

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or telephonic counseling
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and documentation practices
- Familiarity with community mental health centers, behavioral healthcare organizations, or counseling centers
